ELCA National Youth Gathering
Every three years a group of St. Thomas youth participates in this awesome event where they worship, learn, grow and serve alongside some 30,000 Christian youth. St. Thomas youth have attended Gatherings in Detroit, New Orleans, Houston, TX. Fundraisers and work bees are held throughout the year to support the Youth Gathering trip fund. 30 HOUR FAMINE
Every year the older youth participate in Word's Vision's 30 Hour Famine to help raise funds and awareness for world hunger efforts.
ANNUAL EASTER PANCAKE BREAKFAST
St. Thomas youth host the annual Easter morning pancake breakfast between worship services. A free will offering supports youth activities. Always a favorite!
NOISY OFFERING
On the third Sunday of each month during the school year, St. Thomas youth collect an offering of loose change to support mission & ministry. In the past they have funded the building of a well, meals for hungry children and have purchased education and farm animals for families living in poverty to help them live a more sustainable life through the ELCA's "God's Global Barnyard".
