HOSPITAL CALLS and/or PASTORAL EMERGENCIES
Pastor wishes to be notified in case of an emergency, hospitalization and/or a death within the family of St. Thomas. Pastor attempts visitations even during the briefest hospital stays.
MEMBERSHIP
New member’s inquiry classes for those who have recently become members or are interested in joining are held at various times throughout the year. Watch the calendar for the next class dates.
BAPTISMS - Conference Schedule
Pre-Baptismal conferences should be scheduled as early as possible for those considering being Baptized, who
have recently given birth, or are looking forward to their child’s birth within the year.
MARRIAGE SERVICES
As part of St. Thomas’ wedding policy, all engaged couples intending to be married at St. Thomas must attend pre-marital conferencing. This process is generally begun a year or more in advance. Call the church office for more information and to schedule.
STEPHEN MINISTERS
We have Stephen Ministers trained to assist you in times of crisis. All names, circumstances, etc. are kept
confidential. Stephen Ministers also assist Pastor in administering the Sacrament of Communion to shut-in
members. Please call the church office for more information.
PRAYER AND PRAISE
A prayer chain can be started for immediate prayer concerns by calling the church office. All in need of prayer are welcome to be added to our Sunday prayer list (please note that you must obtain permission from the person). If you have joyous news (e.g. birth announcements, etc.) or thank you’s you would like to share with your brothers and sisters in Christ, please call the office so that it can be printed in the bulletin.
DEADLINES
The Sunday bulletin is printed on Friday morning. Please have any information for the bulletin into the office by Thursday afternoon. The monthly newsletter is usually assembled on the last Thursday of each month.
BUILDING USE
Do you need to use a room for a meeting or shower? Contact the church office to double check the schedule. After
all gatherings, please remember to turn out the lights, take out trash and return chairs and tables to their proper
place.
